Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that in order to effectuate such a connection, way-leave permission is required from one Sri Bijan Singh, resident of Village and Post Office - Maheshpur, District Malda. This stand has already been communicated to the petitioner by the WBSEDCL. In view of the above, the WBSEDCL is directed to approach the District Magistrate, Malda, in accordance with Rule 3 of the Works of Licensees Rules, 2006, within a period of three weeks from the date of this order. The District Magistrate concerned shall pass an appropriate order after affording an opportunity of hearing to both the petitioner and the WBSEDCL, within one month thereafter. Accordingly, WPA 2599 of 2025 is disposed of.
