In re : CRAN 1 of 2024

1. By an order dated February 6, 2024, passed in CRM (DB) 358 of 2024, the petitioner was granted bail, inter alia, on the conditions that he shall not enter the Khargram Police Station and shall report to the Officer-in-Charge of the concerned police station once in a week until further orders. He says that he has been complying with those conditions. He seeks relaxation of the aforesaid two conditions.

2. The State files a report. Let the same be kept with the records. From the report filed by the State, we do not find anything adverse as regards the petitioner. It appears that he has been adhering to the conditions of bail. The trial is yet to commence.

3. In view of the aforesaid, we are inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer.

4. Accordingly, the conditions of bail requiring the petitioner not to enter the jurisdiction of Khargram Police Station and to report to the Officer-in-Charge once in a week stand waived. However, he shall report to the Officer-in-Charge of Khargram Police Station once every month until conclusion of trial or until further orders whichever is earlier.

5. I.A. No. CRAN 1 of 2024 is disposed of.
