We have considered the materials on record particularly that of the minor victim. She had been ravished by the petitioner. Her deposition is corroborated by other witnesses as well as medical evidence on record.

Keeping in mind the gravity of offence and the prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the crime we are not inclined to grant bail to him.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
