Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing the police authorities regarding she being sexually abused by the private respondent no.8, yet no action has been taken by the police authorities.

State has submitted a report which reflects that Barrackpore Women Police Station Case No. 111/2024 dated 25.11.2024 has been registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of BNS and SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. Learned advocate appearing for the private respondent nos. 8 to 10 submits that the genesis of the case relates to property dispute and unnecessarily the private respondents have been foisted with criminal case.

Having considered that the purpose for which the writ petition has been preferred is subserved,

further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted. The investigating authorities will take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 2560 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
