The petitioner appeared in the TET, 2014 Examination.

January 31, was the date for scrutiny/verification of all documents of the candidates. The petitioner admits that on that date the he did not have the original B.Ed Degree certificate with him. The petitioner submits that he could not collect the original certificate of the B.Ed Degree from Andhra Pradesh.

It appears from records that the B.Ed Examination Part-1 was conducted in April, 2015 and the provisional

certificate was issued in favour of the petitioner in June, 2015.

The petitioner was directed to produce the original of the said document in January, 2021. The petitioner failed to do so. He prays for relaxation of time for filing the original certificate.

The Court does not find any reason to allow such relaxation. No provision of law has been produced before this court to show that such relaxation is permissible. When a cut-off date has been fixed for production of necessary documents a candidate ought to produce the same within the date specified. The court cannot extend the time for filing/production of the necessary documents on mere asking in the absence of a rule/guideline to that effect.

In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant case.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
