Report filed by the State is also taken on record. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had lodged a complaint alleging that the private respondents had abducted his wife. However, his complaint was not registered as an FIR. In fact, no steps have been taken by the police authorities.

Learned advocate for the State relies on the report and submits that a specific FIR being Tamluk PS Case No. 87/24 dated 01.02.2024 was registered under Sections 365/379/34 IPC. During investigation the victim lady appeared before the investigating officer and gave a statement under Section 161 of the Code. A copy of the same is appended with the report. She had stated that she had voluntarily left the husband's house and she

is willing to give a statement before the learned Magistrate.

Before a report in final form is prepared by the investigating agency, let the victim lady be examined under Section 164 of the Code.

Since the prime grievance of the petitioner that his complaint was not registered as an FIR has already been redressed, no further order need be passed in this regard. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
