Ismail ...for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the accused petitioner submits that the present proceeding under Section 420, 120B and 509 of the Indian Penal Code has been settled and compromised between the private parties. The de facto complainant does not want to proceed with the matter. In view of the same, the proceeding may be quashed.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the de facto complainant opposite party supports the contention of the petitioner and submits that her client would not like to proceed with the matter as the matter has been settled between the private parties.

Learned Public Prosecutor refers to the materials in the case diary including the letter dated 24.04.2025 written by the de facto complainant intimating the police authorities that she did not want to proceed with the

matter.

In view of the settlement and compromise arrived at between the private parties, the impugned proceeding in Charu Market P.S. Case No. 106 dated 03.09.2024 is quashed on the ground of such compromise and settlement between the private parties.

With these observations, the revisional application and the connected application are disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
