The daughter of the petitioner, Resmin Khatun, is a bona fide student of Dharsa Azad Sikshayantan (H.S.), Balitikuri, District: Howrah and is supposed to appear in the ensuing Madhyamik Pariksha, 2025 which is scheduled to be held on and from February 10, 2025. The petitioner is complaining that though her daughter has duly applied for her registration with the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education within the time and on payment of registration fees, neither the registration certificate nor the admit card has been issued to her.

Ms. Bhattacharyya, learned advocate for the Board submits that the school never submitted an application for registration to the Board; as a consequence, the student could not be registered and admit card could not be issued.

The student, without any fault, is facing unnecessary anxiety before her first Board Examination. The student is a first generation learner, hailing from a very weak economical background. It appears from the result of her Class-IX final examination, filed by Mr.

Haldar, learned advocate for the petitioner that she is a brilliant student having scored A+ in all subjects, a student of this merit should not be deprived of taking her first Board examination.

Therefore, as an exceptional case, the Board shall arrange for registration of the daughter of the petitioner and shall take appropriate steps for enrolment and issuance of admit card.

The school is required to pay all the necessary fees eg. enrolment fees, stationary fees, late fees, late processing fees together with costs of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) to the Board.

To facilitate the above, the school shall approach the Board today itself. The school shall collect the admit card on behalf of the student and shall deliver it to her residence.

It is made clear that this order shall not be treated as a precedent.

No affidavit since has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

WPA 2507 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms.
