(via video conference) Mr. Supriyo Das ...for the petitioner This is an application seeking for an expeditious disposal of a proceeding under Sections 12 and 23 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner had filed the application under the provision of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act on 06.07.2020. For some time, the record was misplaced. Some more time lapsed because of the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Only on 29.10.2021, an order for an interim protection could be passed by the learned trial Court. Although the husband was earning a substantial sum of money, meager sums of Rs. 3,000/- each were granted as interim monetary relief for the wife and her minor children. Till date, evidence has not started. The proceeding has remained pending for no fault of the present petitioner. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and have

perused the revision petition.

No prejudice will be caused to any one if a direction is passed in respect of an application for expeditious disposal of the case.

It does not appear that an inordinate delay has been occasioned in this case, especially considering the fact that in the meantime, there was onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

If the petitioner is aggrieved with the insufficiency of the interim relief, it is open for her to challenge the same before an appropriate forum.

However, it is expected that the trial Court would conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties, keeping in mind the statutory stipulations regarding expeditious conclusion of a proceeding under the said Act.

With these observations, the revisional application is thus disposed of.
