Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the other co-accused was granted bail by the jurisdictional Court. The incident arose out of second marriage between the petitioner and the de facto complainant.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that there is a child borne out of the wedlock. The statements in the case diary depict a picture of the petitioner being guilty of pouring kerosene on the de facto complainant and trying to set her ablaze.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (A) 689 of 2022 is dismissed.
