The petitioner sought quashing of the notice dated 27th January, 2026 seeking removal of the Karmadakshya of Khanakul - I Panchayat Samity. An order passed by this Court on 24th February 2026 in the writ petition was assailed before an Hon'ble Division Bench. By an order passed on 24th March, 2026 in MAT 446 of 2026, the Hon'ble Division Bench has held that the notice has expired as no steps have been taken by the prescribed authority under the provisions of law in order to reach the same to its logical conclusion and therefore, the motion has become infructuous. The order further records that the members of the Samity shall not be precluded from bringing a further motion on the self same issue strictly in accordance with law. The writ petition has also been disposed of by the said order.

In view of the above, this Court holds that since the writ petition has already been disposed of by the Hon'ble Division Bench, nothing further remains to be decided herein.

There shall however, be no order as to costs.
