1. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the innocuous prayer in the writ petition is to lower the load from a high-tension line to low-tension line with regard to the petitioner's electricity connection.

2. Learned counsel for the CESC Limited submits that already an inspection has been held. However, it has been found that a space is required to be provided for installation of necessary equipment for doing so. Moreover, the petitioner has merely submitted a representation instead of filing a formal application.

3. Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, it transpires that the petitioner has already made a representation, which has to be given the shape of a formal application.

4. Accordingly, WPA No. 2414 of 2024 is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to apply formally in appropriate format to the appropriate authority for conversion of its high-tension line to low-tension line.

5. Upon such an application being made, the CESC Limited shall immediately process the same and raise a quotation to the petitioner, also indicating as to what are the requirements which are to be complied with in that regard.

6. Upon such intimation being made to the petitioner, the petitioner shall comply with all formalities.

7. It is expected that the CESC Limited shall give such intimation along with quotation to the petitioner within a week from date.

8. Upon the petitioner complying with all formalities, the CESC Limited shall effect such conversion from high-tension line to lowtension line preferably within four weeks thereafter.

9. There will be no order as to costs.

10. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
