The petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by the District Engineer, Howrah Zilla Parishad on October 10, 2023.

By the said order the Zilla Parishad was of the opinion that since the ground floor plinth area of the building in question is 28 sq. mtr. and the height is within 6 meters, accordingly, the sanctioning authority of the subject building is vested with the Gram Panchayat. The parties have been requested to approach the Gram Panchayat for remedy of their grievances.

The Court does not find any error in the order passed by the District Engineer.

If the petitioner is aggrieved by the subject unauthorized construction, it will be open for the petitioner to approach the Gram Panchayat for necessary relief.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
