Dhiman Banerjee, learned advocate representing the municipality undertakes to file Vakalatnama by tomorrow.

The present writ petition has been filed, inter alia, praying for a direction upon Champdani Municipality to release the entire gratuity amount of Rs.4,55,774/- and the arrear pension which has fallen due.

Learned advocate representing the petitioner, on instruction, would submit that during the pendency of the writ petition the entire amount of gratuity has already been disbursed in favour of the petitioner. According to him, since the arrear pensions are due for the last seven months, such amount should be directed to be forthwith disbursed.

The municipality is represented. It is submitted that upto August, 2025, the entire pensionary benefit has

WPA 2544 of 2025 already been disbursed. Since then, the municipality has defaulted. According to him, within a period of one month the aforesaid amount shall be disbursed.

Having regard to the above, I am of the view that nothing survives in the matter. The municipality is accordingly directed to disburse the entire pensionary benefits that have fallen due to the petitioner within thirty days from the date of communication of this order. 6.

The municipality must also forward a chart showing the particulars of payment made to the petitioner.

Needless to note that the municipality shall continue to make payment of pensionary benefits to the petitioner as and when the same falls due.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for be given to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
