The petitioner is incarcerated in jail for last 210 days in connection with the N.D.P.S. Case for the possession of 2.5 kg. of ganja. The charge sheet has already been submitted.

Learned counsel for the State submits that the learned Special Judge has fixed the date on 20.4.2021 for consideration of charge and raises no objection to grant of bail.

Having heard learned counsel for both the parties and considering the quantity of ganja under seizure list and bearing in mind that the trial may not be expedited in view of pandemic situation due to Covid-19, we are inclined to release the accused/petitioner in bail. Accordingly, we direct that the petitioner accused be admitted on bail upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) with two sureties of like amount; one of whom must be local subject to

the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Murshidabad under N.D.P.S. Act.

Thus, the application being C.R.M. 1130 of 2021 is disposed of. (Shivakant Prasad, J.)
