The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that a goods carrier vehicle having Registration No. WB57E8982 was missing at its destination and to that effect, information was furnished with the Officer-in-Charge, Samsherganj Police Station on or about 21.01.2025. However, the police authorities refused to take any step till date.

State has submitted a report which reflects that Samsherganj Police Station Case No. 98/2025 dated 15.02.2025 has been registered for investigation under Section 303(2) of BNS against unknown miscreants.

Learned advocate appearing for the respondent no.4 submits that she has instruction that the respondent no.4 being a finance company has no relation in respect of the vehicle being

missing from its destination as complained by the petitioner.

Since the police authorities have already taken steps consequent to the information furnished by the petitioner, at this stage, it can only be directed that the investigating agency will take the investigation to its logical conclusion by putting in efforts for recovery of the subject-matter referred to in the complaint.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 2674 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
