Apprehending arrest in connection with Harirampur Police Station Case No.66 of 2020 dated 12.05.2020 under Sections 363/365 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 read with Sections 4/17 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, the petitioner has filed the present application, praying for anticipatory bail.

Heard the learned lawyer for the petitioner and perused the case diary.

The present petitioner is named in the statement recorded under Section 164 as well as under Section 161 of the Cr.P.C. by the victim girl. Her name also appears from the statement of eyewitnesses. It appears that the present petitioner has direct complicity with the alleged offence. Considering the seriousness of allegation and complicity of the present petitioner in the alleged offence, we are not inclined to allow the prayer for anticipatory bail and the same is, thus, rejected. The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM(A) 706 of 2022 is, thus, dismissed.
