I am afraid that the Court sitting in contempt jurisdiction will not be the competent forum to adjudicate the legality of the reasoned order passed by the Board of Councilors.

It will be open for the petitioners to challenge the reasoned order passed by the Municipality before the competent forum in accordance with law, if so advised.

The contempt application is disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all formalities, on priority basis.
