1. Heard the learned counsels appearing for the respective parties.

2. Affidavit of service filed in Court today, is kept with the record.

3. The petitioner has been granted a permanent stage carriage permit being no. PSTS-0010/2018(WB) along with one approved timetable dated 04.10.2024 in respect of vehicle No. JH-05CD-9095 (BS-IV-2018 model) on the inter-sate route Tata to Sindri viaBagudah (B-78) for a period of five year from 03.10.2023 to 02.10.2028 by the STA Jharkhand on 12.12.2024.

4. Thereafter the permit and timetable of the petitioner has been sent to the respondent no.2by the STA, Jharkhand for its counter signature.

5. It is submitted by the petitioner that the authority concerned have already countersigned the permits in respect of other vehicle owners who are plying in the self-same corridor (64 KM) of the West Bengal.

The petitioner made a representation before the STA, West Bengal for the counter signature of the permanent stage carriage permit along with approved time table in respect of the interstate route from Tata to Sindri via Bagurdh dated 16.09.2025, however, the same remains pending for consideration.

7. The State-respondents do not object to the same and fairly submits that the representation be considered within a considerable period of time.

After careful consideration of the case and upon perusing the materials available on record, I direct the Secretary, State Transport Authority, West Bengal to consider the representation dated 16.09.2025 within a period sixty days by passing a reasoned order in accordance with law upon affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the other interested persons, if any, and communicate such decision within a week thereafter.

9. With the above observations, the writ petition, WPA 2888 of 2026 stands disposed of, without going into the merits of the case.
