The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Inspector-in-Charge, Contai Police Station to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioners. The police authorities shall act independently. The Inspector-inCharge, shall decide the entire issue in accordance with law. The fate of the representation of the petitioners, shall also be communicated to the petitioners. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If the police authorities find that the registration of an FIR would not be required, reasons for such finding, shall be disclosed to the petitioners by way of a communication. This order shall not be construed as an opinion of the Court or the expression of the Court, on the merits of the allegations which have been levelled against the respondent Nos.7 to 10.

The petitioners are directed to serve a copy of the writ petition along with a server copy of this order, upon the Inspector-in-Charge, Contai Police Station.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
