The petitioner has received several rejection of his earlier prayer for bail. The instant application is filed renewing the prayer for bail on the ground of delayed disposal of the sessions case. The State informs us that the case has seen a substantial progress and as many as 17 witnesses out of 18 have been examined and the next dates are fixed on April 16 & 17, 2021. However, we are made to understand that the prosecution has also sought for recalling and/or re-examination of 4 of such witnesses who have already been examined and/or discharged. We have gone through the case diary and perused the materials-on-record and do not find any changed circumstances warranting interference in the instant application. As such, the prayer for bail is rejected.
The application being CRM 1155 of 2021 accordingly dismissed.
However, the sessions trial must be brought to its logical conclusion at an earliest. The next date is fixed within a short interval and we expect that the learned Sessions Judge would show alacrity in taking up the matter and bring it to its logical end at an earliest. The learned Sessions Judge is requested to complete the trial of the case within eight months from the date of communication of this order.
