Learned Counsel for the petitioners and the State are present. With consent of the parties the matter is finally heard.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have prayed for setting aside the letter dated 4th January, 2023 (Annexure 'P-2") which shows the intention of the Government to carry the Bishnu idol to the upcoming Museumcum-Research Centre. Learned Counsel for the petitioners, by showing a photograph to this Court, submits that the Authorities were kind enough in bringing the said idol to the village itself and the villagers are worshiping the idol. To this extent the petitioners are satisfied. However, the petitioners are aggrieved by the proposal of taking the idol to the Museum.

Learned Counsel for the State submits that he supports the stand of the petitioners based on the sentiments of the villagers and the idol will not be taken to the Museum and it will remain there itself.

In view of the stand taken by learned Counsel for the State, nothing remains to be adjudicated in this matter. The Public Interest Litigation is disposed of.

The registry of this Court shall keep the photograph on record carefully.
