It is seen that nobody has argued this matter since 2023. The petitioner's Counsel remained absent on February 13, 2023, August 4, 2025 and August 19, 2025. It appears that either the cause does not survive or the petitioner has lost interest in the matter.

Thus, the petition filed in the nature of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) stands dismissed for want of prosecution.

However, in the interest of justice it is observed that if the cause still survives, the

petitioner can avail the remedy under Section 27 of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee (in short, 'MGNREGA') Act, 2005.
