Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing the police authorities that she had been driven out of the home, no assistance has been rendered.

Learned advocate for the private respondent no. 4 submits that there is no issue of driving out the petitioner who happens to be the mother and she has on her own left the home.

State has submitted a report, without going into the intricacies of the issues as the respondent no. 4 submits that he has no issues if the mother comes and stays at home. I direct that in case the petitioner approaches the Officer-in-charge, Adra

Police Station for necessary assistance, the concerned Officer-in-charge will depute an officer of his choice who will assist the petitioner for smooth entry in the residence. A lady officer be deployed for a period of 4 weeks who would every alternate day visit the residence and assess whether any harassment has been inflicted upon the petitioner and submit a report to the Officer-in-charge concerned.

In the meantime petitioner, if so advised, will approach the appropriate authority under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 for necessary orders.

In case any order is passed by the concerned authority, police authorities would respect, obey and implement the order of the said authority.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 2747 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.
