Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that he approached the police authorities informing that his minor daughter and wife has gone missing.

To that effect, police authorities did not respond or did not take any steps in spite of pursuing his remedies with the police authorities.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that Kaliganj Police Station Case No. 134/25 dated 12.02.2025 has been registered for investigation under section 137(2)/130(3) of BNS and several steps have been taken by the Investigating Officer of the case including information submitted to the CID, West Bengal for publication, consultation with the SOG Cell, Krishnanagar Police District and other effective steps.

In view of the police authorities having taken their notice on the issues which have been canvassed in the present writ petition, I am of the view that an officer in the rank of SDPO/Additional SP would monitor the investigation of the case. Every 30 days a progress report be submitted before the learned CJM, Krishnanagar, Nadia by the Investigating Officer with a forwarding endorsement of the Superior Officer of the police.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 2724 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
