Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits trial is at its fag-end. Date has been fixed for examination of the petitioner under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. We have considered the materials on record. There are materials implicating the petitioner in the recovery of 60 bottles of phensedyl syrup from his possession. Trial is at its fag-end. Date has been fixed for examination of the petitioner under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within six months from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
