The writ petitioner is a retired employee of the respondent no.1.

The writ petitioner claims that he had enhanced his qualification while in service and is entitled to a Higher Scale as a consequence whereof, particularly with reference to Circular dated 16th January, 1985 being Annexure - P/8 to the writ application. In those circumstances, the General Manager (Personnel) of the respondent no.1 shall consider the petitioner's claims as contained in the writ application and pass appropriate orders within a period of three months from date.

A reasoned order shall be passed in this regard by the General Manager (Personnel) of the respondent no.1 and the same shall be communicated to the writ petitioner within seven days thereof.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ application shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
