This is an application for extension of time to surrender before the learned Special Judge under POCSO Act for a period of four weeks from date. On 16th April, 2021 a coordinate Bench, in which one of us (Soumen Sen, J.), in CRM 1105 of 2020 directed the petitioner to surrender before the learned Special Judge under POCSO Act within a period of four weeks from that date. The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has filed this application for extension of time for surrendering before the learned Trial Court by four weeks from date. In the petition he has disclosed the reasons which are stated in paragraph 3 of the said petition.

In view of the explanation offered for not being able to surrender before the learned Special Judge under POCSO Act within the aforesaid period, the time to surrender before the learned Special Judge under POCSO Act is extended by four weeks from date.

The said direction is peremptory, failing which he should be immediately arrested.
