Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. The First Information Report was registered subsequent to the defacto complainant approaching the Magistrate under Section 156(3) of the Criminal Procedure Code. He highlights the delay of lodgment of the complaint under Section 156(3) of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the victim. He submits that the police filed charge-sheet. In her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the victim implicates the petitioner. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 732 of 2022 is, thus, dismissed.
