1. Heard the learned Counsels for the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. 30 bottles of Phensedyl Syrup containing codeine phosphate were recovered from the petitioner. Trial has considerably progressed and seven witnesses have been examined. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner either on merits or on the ground of delay in trial.

3. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

4. Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
