Petitioner is in custody for more than 8 years. Learned advocate for the State submits that only one witness is left to be examined by the prosecution. Having regard to the advanced stage of the trial and the nature of offences for which the trial is being conducted, I am of the view that efforts be exerted to pronounce the verdict of the case by 30th September, 2026.

In view of the observations made above, CRM(M)367 of 2026 is dismissed.
