This is an application for seeking expeditious disposal of a proceeding in which charges were framed under Sections 307, 325, 341, 354 and 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Leaned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an accused in this case. Although, the case was started in 2017 and a charge-sheet was submitted in 2018, till date the proceeding could not be concluded. On 31.08.2019 charges were framed in this case. Despite this, till date not a single witness has been examined. The impugned

proceeding has remained pending for no fault of the present petitioner.

I have heard the submission of the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the State and have perused the revision petition.

No prejudice will be caused to anyone, if a direction for expeditious disposal of the proceeding is passed in this case. It appears that some delay has been occasioned in concluding the impugned proceeding.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, I request the learned trial court to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, preferably within a period of one year from the next date of hearing.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
