Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

The petitioner is named in the First Information Report as an assailant.

The wife of the victim claims in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure states that she saw the petitioner to flee away from the place of occurrence. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 526 of 2023 is dismissed.
