Petitioner approached this court being aggrieved that her representation with the police authorities was not considered in spite of an offence being allegedly committed under the relevant provisions of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report.

Report reflects that under the relevant provisions of the BNS and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Shyampukur Police Station has registered Section "A" Case No.13 dated 14.02.2025 and Assistant Commissioner of Police is in charge of investigation of the case.

Having considered that the investigation of the case has been initiated, I am of the view that at this stage no interference is called for from this court. The police authorities will carry out the investigation to its logical conclusion by putting its efforts. With the above observation WPA 2762 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. Parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Hon'ble High Court.
