Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has made a representation before the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Burdwan (Purba) being the respondent no. 4 in the instant application which was considered by the Secretary and an opportunity was granted to the petitioner to appear before him on 19th December, 2019. But after that date, no further hearing was granted to the petitioner nor any order was passed or communicated to him till date. Learned Counsel prays for hearing before the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Burdwan (Purba) being the respondent no. 4 and the also prays that Secretary, passes a reasoned order at an earliest.

Mr. Nayak along with Ms. Rituparna Maitra appearing for the State respondents are present. From page 32 being annexure "P8" of the writ petition, I find that the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Burdwan (Purba) has initiated a proceeding. I therefore, request the Secretary, Regional Transport

Authority, Burdwan (Purba) being the respondent no. 4 to conclude such proceeding within a period of 12 (twelve) weeks from date after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other necessary parties. The reasoned order should be communicated to the petitioner at an earliest.

The learned Advocate on record of the petitioner is requested to serve a copy of this writ petition along with a copy of this order to the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Burdwan (Purba) within 7(Seven) days from date.

The writ petition being W.P.A. 1845 of 2021 is accordingly disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the writ petition, all the issues are left open to the respondent no.4 to be decided by him.

Since no affidavits have been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
