The petitioners allege that the police personnel are seeking bribe from the petitioners and threatening to implicate them in false criminal cases in the event their demands are not met.

Complaint was lodged before the Superintendent of Police and the Director General and Inspector General of Police in the month of August, 2023. Allegation is that no steps have not been taken in response to the same.

Report filed by the O/C, Debra PS signed on 01.07.2024 mentions that during enquiry of the complaint the petitioners denied to disclose the identity of the police personnel who sought bribe.

The petitioners are directed to pass on the details of the police personnel who sought bribe from the petitioners to the O/C of the police station so that

necessary steps can be taken against the offending persons.

Report dated 01.07.2024 is taken on record.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
