By this application, the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of Title Suit No. 585 of 2014, which is pending before the learned Civil Judge (Senior Division) at Serampore, District - Hooghly 2.

It is submitted that the suit is at the stage of evidence and there is no application pending. 3.

This Court is of the view that the prayer of the petitioner is innocuous. Neither party stands to lose if a proceeding is disposed of expeditiously. In fact, such expeditious disposal shall enure to the benefit of the parties.

Under such circumstances, the revisional application is disposed of with a request to the learned court to dispose of the suit as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one year from the date of communication of this order. Adequate opportunity shall be given to the parties to contest the same.

This court has neither expressed any opinion on the merits of the suit. The learned court shall proceed independently and in accordance with law.

The revisional application is accordingly disposed of. A copy of this application be served upon the opposite parties and/or the learned Advocate for the opposite parties in the court below, within a week. 7.

There shall be no order as to costs.
