Petitioner approached this court as she was aggrieved that in spite of informing the Officer-incharge, Khanakul Police Station no action has been taken.

It has been alleged that the petitioner was subjected to assault and was struck multiple times at different parts of the body.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report which reflects that police authorities have already registered Khanakul P. S. Case No. 85 of 2025 under the relevant provisions of law. The investigation of the case has already been set into motion, which was an anxiety of the petitioner. Learned advocate for the respondent nos. 5 and 6 submits that on distorted set of facts the petitioner has been successful in resorting to initiate police action although the respondents are innocent of the charges levelled against them.

In view of the police authorities having already registered case, the primary grievance of the petitioner is addressed. The police authorities would take the investigation to its logical conclusion. In case there is any interference with the life and liberty of the petitioner subsequent to registration of the FIR, the petitioner will be at liberty to approach the jurisdictional court. The jurisdictional court would, if required, pass necessary direction under the witness protection scheme, 2018.

With the above observation WPA 2772 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. Parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Hon'ble High Court.
