The grievance of the petitioner is directed against refusal of the respondent Corporation to provide a fresh electric meter in favour of the petitioner.

The private respondent is represented and submits that there are pending civil disputes pertaining to title of the subject premises.

The Distribution Company is represented and submits that their officers had visited the site to provide the necessary connection, but were prevented by the private respondent from carrying any inspection.

In view of the pending civil disputes between the petitioner and the private respondent, I direct that the question of providing an electric connection be adjudicated by the concerned District Magistrate. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to file an appropriate application before the concerned District

Magistrate. If such an application is filed, the concerned District Magistrate is requested to consider and dispose of the same within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of such a representation after giving a right of hearing to all the affected parties and passing a reasoned order.

In view of the aforesaid, WPA 3118 of 2021 stands disposed off.
