Petitioner is the mother of the respondent nos. 4 and 5 who complains that she is being restrained from entering her home which is within the jurisdiction of Hardwood Point Coastal Police Station. A report has been submitted by the state.

Learned advocate appearing for the respondent nos. 4 and 5 submits that they have no issues if the mother comes and stays with them. However, they apprehend that she may handover the property to somebody else.

Be that as it may, so far as the petitioner is concerned, petitioner would report to Hardwood Point Coastal Police Station on 20.11.2024.

The Officer-in-Charge of the said police station would assign a lady police personnel who would accompany and escort the petitioner for smoothly entering her own residence. The concerned lady police personnel will every alternate day keep a vigil as to whether the petitioner is facing any harassment or humiliation at the hands of respondent nos. 4 and 5. Such arrangement would continue for a period of 4 weeks.

In the meantime, petitioner would approach the appropriate authority under the provisions of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 2598 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
