This revisional application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India has been filed for expeditious disposal of the Ejectment Suit No.185 of 2021 pending before the learned 6th Bench, Small Causes Court at Calcutta.

It is submitted that the suit is pending since long and at present it is at the stage of hearing 7(2) application and accordingly the present petitioner, being the plaintiff, is highly prejudiced and he prays for expeditious disposal of the suit.

Heard the submission and perused the copy of the order sheets which show that the application under Section 7(2) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act is still pending and the next date of hearing is in the month of June 2025. Considering all aspects of the matter, the learned Court below is requested to make all endeavour to dispose of the application under Section 7(2) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act at the earliest, preferably within a period of three months from the receipt of the server copy of this order.

Accordingly, the revisional application is disposed of. Since the matter has taken up for hearing in absence of the opposite parties, the Court is refrained from making any observation in respect of the merit of the matter.
