The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition assailing the alleged illegal and unauthorized construction carried out by the respondent no.8 at Mouza - Parul, J.L. No.38, Khatian No. 175, Dag Nos.1580 and 1581, Vill. Basudebpur, Ward No.1, P.S. Arambagh, Dist. Hooghly.

It is the case of the petitioner that this court in WPA 17140 of 2024 had passed an order dated 07.10.2024 wherein the Arambagh Municipality was directed to conduct an inspection and to take appropriate steps in accordance with law. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 02.01.2025, asserting therein that unauthorized construction has indeed been detected upon inspection of the said premises. 3.

Learned Advocate for respondent-Municipality contends that the respondent authorities are ready and willing to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2025.

Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that his client will be satisfied if his representation dated 02.01.2025 is decided in a time bound manner.

Accordingly, this Court directs the Arambagh Municipality particularly respondent nos.3 and 4 to decide the representation of the petitioner and pass a reasoned order within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the private respondent no.8.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been filed by the respondent, the allegations made in the writ petition shall not be deemed to have been admitted.

There shall be no order as to costs.
