Status report filed by the State be kept with the records. 2.

We see that the petitioner was the driver of the vehicle from which 6000 bottles of phensedyl syrup was seized. He says that he has no connection with the contraband items. He is not the owner of the vehicle. The owner is one Nizam Tarafdar. We find from the seizure memo that the seizure was made from the vehicle which was being driven by the petitioner. He fled from the place when the vehicle was intercepted. Subsequently he surrendered after his prayer for anticipatory bail was rejected. 3.

In view of the prima facie material against the petitioner and huge quantity of contraband items being involved, we are not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage. 4.

CRM (NDPS) 184 of 2025 is, thus, dismissed.
