Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted permit of a specific route initially for the period up to 26th February, 2024. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that thereafter the petitioner applied for renewal of route permit on 7th February, 2024 with the State Transport Authority, West Bengal. However, since no decision was taken the petitioner was constrained to file WPA 14465 of 2024 before this court. The Co-ordinate Bench of this court, inter alia, directed the State Transport Authority, West Bengal to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated February 7, 2024 at the earliest but not later then a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite this order till date the State Transport Authority, West Bengal has not communicated the order.

Learned Government Pleader in all fairness submits that the decision shall be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks.

In view of the submission the petition is disposed of with the direction to the opposite party to consider and dispose the application dated 7th February, 2024 expeditiously, after hearing the parties/petitioner, if require in accordance with law on or before 15th May, 2026.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of such direction he would not press the petition any more.

The petition stands disposed.
