Court No. 17 WPCRC 188 of 2019 Nilotpal Guchhait Vs.

Dr. Ratna Chakraborty Bagchi in WPA 1495 of 2018 (Via Video Conference) 13.09.2021 (AD 1) (S. Banerjee) Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharyya, Sr. Advocate Mr. Bikram Banerjee Mr. Sudipta Dasgupta Mr. Arkadeb Biswas Mr. Arka Nandi Mr. Saikat Sutradhar ... for the petitioner Mr. L. K. Gupta, Sr. Advocate Mr. Subir Sanyal Mr. Ratul Biswas ... for the contemnor After the order was passed on 10th September, 2021 directing the President of the West Bengal of Primary Education, who was held as contemnor and whose name was added in the contempt application, has appeared today. He has said before this court appearing in person that he has got the gist of the order passed by the court and also a copy of the contempt application.

Learned Senior Advocate Mr.

Gupta has submitted that in the meantime steps have been taken for giving appointment to the petitioner by a letter signed by the Secretary of the Board namely, Dr. Ratna Chakraborty Bagchi, who is the contemnor no. 1 in the contempt application. Pursuant to the recommendation the Paschim Medinipore District Primary School

Council's Chairman-in-Charge Dr. Tarun Kumar Sarkar has issued one office memorandum and the contempt applicant has been appointed in the post of an Assistant Teacher in Bankhati Primary School/Junior Basic School under Garbeta-I Circle. Other details are also mentioned in the said appointment letter. Learned Senior Advocate Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya appearing for the applicant has submitted that the copies of the recommendation and the appointment letter be filed and be kept on record; which is being done.

With this action, which is accepted by this court, the contempt application is disposed of.

The steps taken by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education is really very beneficial, which I hold after hearing Mr. Bhattacharya who appears personally today.

The personal appearance directed by this court on the last occasion, i.e., on 10th September, 2021, is dispensed with. The first contemnor, being the Secretary of the Board, need not appear in this matter any further.

The contempt Rule issued in this matter is discharged.

Thus the matter is disposed of.
