The writ petitioner claims that he is working as a Technical Assistant on temporary basis with the office of the Block Development Officer, Ramnagar-II, Purba Medinipur. The said BDO has made a request dated 15th January, 2019 to the Additional District Magistrate (Development), Purba Medinipur, for regularisation of the services of Technical Assistant. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his client should be treated as a beneficiary of the Government circular of September, 2011 as modified from time to time upto 2018. In terms of the said circular, casual employees functioning in various department of the State have been permitted to work upto 60 years of age and certain fixed remuneration is payable to them.

As to whether the petitioner can come within the scope of the said circular of September, 2011 at all shall be considered by the Additional District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur at Tamluk within a period of four months from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The final order of the Additional District

Magistrate may be communicated to the petitioner or the BDO, Ramnagar-II, Purba Medinipur within 15 days thereof. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
