The petitioner and the Headmistress of the New Bongaon Girls' High School, Bongaon, District - 24 Parganas (North), the respondent no. 2 herein vide order dated February 06, 2025 were directed to file supplementary affidavits disclosing all relevant documents; such affidavits are filed and taken on record.

The daughter of the petitioner, namely, Sanchita Biswas is a student of the said school, who is supposed to take up the Madhyamik Pariksha 2025.

The petitioner is complaining that the Registration Certificate of her daughter with the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has not yet reached to the school. Mr. Gupta, learned advocate for the school submits that the Board instead of sending the Registration Certificate of the daughter of the petitioner has sent two Registration Certificates of one student namely, Dolan Halder. Ms. Bhattacharyya, learned advocate for the Board submits that the school had never applied for registration of the said student, instead had sent application for registration of the other student twice. She further submits that all preparation regarding the ensuing Madhyamik Pariksha 2025 is over, which is scheduled to be held on and

from February 10, 2025, at this stage it would be impossible for the Board to register a new student.

She however suggests that if applied for, the registration of the said student can be done, enabling her to take up the Madhyamik Pariksha, 2026.

On perusal of the result Class - IX final examination, it appears that the said student requires a little bit more preparation, considering the said aspect, this Court grants liberty to the school to approach the Board immediately after the completion of the ensuing Madhyamik Pariksha 2025 for registration of the daughter of the petitioner enabling her to take up the Madhyamik Pariksha 2026. The petitioner since has already paid the registration fees and the sessions fees of her daughter for the academic sessions 2024-2025, the school while applying for such registration, shall not charge for the said fees to the student again.

W.P.A. 2679 of 2025 is thus disposed of with the above observations without any order as to costs.
