The petitioner was appointed as a Craft Instructor by the Director of Mass Education Extension. By notification dated 21.12.2012, the Department directed that effect will be given to incremental benefit to the employees of Special School after completion of requisite training course. The petitioner underwent such training and thereafter prayed for incremental benefits. In fact, by a letter dated 11.12.2018 the District Mass Education Extension Officer recommended his name for availing of such benefit. In spite of this, the petitioner has not been granted such benefit. Learned counsel for the State-respondents submits that in the event a decision is pending in this regard, the same would be taken in accordance with law.

In view of the above, let the respondent no. 3 decide the issue of grant of incremental benefit to the petitioner in terms of the notification dated 21.12.2012 and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks from the date of communication of this order and upon taking into account the representation of the petitioner in this regard and

the recommendation made by the District Mass Education Extension Officer.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon completion of requisite formalities. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
