This is an application for bail in connection with Contai P.S. Case No. 242 of 2017 dated 08.08.2017 under Sections 498A/302/34 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act at the behest of the petitioner.

An unbelievable story sought to be made by the petitioner drawing attention to the Court to believe on it when the case diary and the witnesses have stated differently. The repeated applications for bail had been rejected by this Court as well as the court below and the present application is filed taking diametrically an opposite

stand to what was projected before the Court on an earlier occasion.

The learned advocate for the petitioner has attempted to impress upon us that it was a case of an accident and not of brutal murder of the victim lady who sustained burn injury on her entire body. The children of the petitioner has made the statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure narrating the incident which was the substratum of the decision taken by the co-ordinate Bench on an earlier occasion while dismissing the application for bail. We do not feel that there is any changed circumstances, more so believing the new story set up before us. As such, the petitioner's prayer for bail is rejected. The application for bail, being CRM 1224 of 2021, is, thus, dismissed.
