Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the victim recorded under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code. She submits that the petitioner and the co-accused received money from the victim on the promise of giving employment.

Considering the fact that the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the fact that the petitioner was engaging with the members of the public with promise of giving government job and extracting money from them, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 767 of 2022, is rejected.
